Our Sailing History |
Brad has sailed since he was a boy, with his father Harry, first on a Lightning at Mansfield Sailing Club and then on big boats in Lake Erie. Brad and his father built a Mirror Dinghy in the late 70's that Brad raced. Brad moved to Columbus, OH for his job and to sail small boats competitively. It has always been Brad's dream to own a sailboat, retire and go cruising. Bazinga is a fulfillment of that dream
Penny began sailing when she met Brad in college. Together we first sailed a Mirror Dinghy and then a Tasar in Mansfield at Clear Fork Sailing Club. Together we have owned an InterLake, a Snipe and a Sunfish. We have raced Interlakes, Snipes, Lightnings, and Highlanders. One of our proudest moments was qualifying to go to the Lightening Worlds with our good friend and sailing mentor George Fisher. George was such a gift to Brad and Penny, teaching Penny how to be a good crew. |
